Windows-At night, if the air is cooler outside than it is inside, open your windows. Be sure, however, to close them in the morning before the sun comes out.
Ceiling Fans-Make sure your ceiling fans are blowing downwards (moving counter clockwise if you’re standing under the fan looking upwards). If the fan is blowing up, it is blowing the warm air up towards the ceiling where it comes back towards you.
A/C-As far as the air conditioner itself, make sure the unit is level so the condensation can drain properly. Additionally, be sure to regularly change your filter.
Insulation-If it seems like you are constantly running your air conditioner, but your house doesn’t seem to cool, the insulation in your attic may be the problem. Attic insulation keeps cool air in.
