Unclog Your Bathtub Drain
It’s been a long day and all you can think about is how good a long, refreshing shower will feel before you turn in for the night. You start your shower and begin to feel more relaxed. But what is that on your feet? Standing water? Yuck!
Nothing ruins a relaxing shower like a clogged drain. Not only is it gross, but it needs to be fixed, which is the last thing you want to do. We’ll give you some quick tips on how to unclog your drain and get back to that relaxing shower you were wanting in the first place.
Try This
First things first, what is causing the clog? Most likely, you’re looking at a hair problem. Here’s a tip: take a wire coat hanger and using wire cutters, clip a 6-inch piece off. Bend one end creating a hook. Put on some rubber gloves next. Remove the drain’s plug if applicable, and reach in the drain hook first to grab the hair out. Be sure not to drop the hanger down the drain. Remove the remaining hair with your hands. This will make a huge difference int he draining of your tub.
Is It Draining Now?
If not, pour 1/4 cup of liquid dish soap down the drain followed by hot water. This should push down any leftover residue. If after these steps your your tub is not draining well, you need to bring in the experts.
Give us a call at D&D and we’ll have your tub draining in no time.
