What to do with a jammed disposal.
Unplug the unit and check the instructions of your owner’s manual.
Under the sink look for a sex shaped hole. Find the correct hex shaped tool (sometimes this will be attached) and spin in both directions. This will free the impellers.
If you do not have a hex hole or cannot find a hex wrench, use a broom stick by sticking it into the sink, touching the blade and turn. The goal is to turn the impellers from the onside of the sink. Make sure all blades are turned off!
If something has been placed in the sink that should not be there make sure to remove the object with anise on tongs or pliers. Again make sure all power to the sink is off!
